Why the wash method matters

Paint is softer than most people think. Every time grit is dragged across it, tiny scratches are added, and over the years they turn into the dull, swirled look you see on so many black cars. That damage is usually done by brushes, dirty sponges and rushed washing, not by the dirt itself.

Our multiple cloths procedure

Instead of the usual two-bucket method, we wash with several clean microfibre cloths and use each one only once, on one section of the car. A used cloth never goes back into the soap bucket, so the bucket stays clean from start to finish. Combined with a thorough pressure rinse first and light pressure throughout, it cuts the risk of wash scratches by a huge margin.

• Pressure rinse to remove most of the dirt without touching the paint
• Hand wash with clean microfibre cloths, one per section
• Iron fallout, bug and tar removal
• Clay bar where the paint feels rough
• Wheels, arches and tyres cleaned separately
• Rinse, dry with clean towels and apply ceramic sealant

Protection that lasts months, not weeks

We finish with a ceramic sealant rather than a traditional wax. Wax lasts around 3 weeks; a good sealant lasts up to 6 months, keeps the paint glossy and makes the next wash much easier. For years of protection, ask about ceramic coating.
